What's the Second Best Movie Gunfight of All Time?
About the best thing to happen in 1995 was the release of HEAT (although Asia Carrera's win at the 12th annual AVNs is a close second). The Michael Mann classic featured some of the best actors around, and of course gave us one of the best movie gunfights of all time.
HEAT is as full of great lines as it is great action, of course. One of them we've put on the shirt we'd like you to buy as soon as you're done reading this.
We think the gun battle you'll find below is the best large scale realistic modern street fight ever to appear on the big screen.
If you agree (and you should), then what comes in second?
1. The parking garage fight in "The Town."
2. The final fight in "Way of the Gun."
3. "Proof of Life" prisoner rescue.
4. "Hell or High Water" desert shootout.
5. The "End of Watch" apartment fight.
6. The "Sicario" bridge scene.
Or are we missing something?
Now, before you run off, check out our new shirt. If features one of the many great lines of the movie and the FN/FNC-80 rifle Lt. Hanna (AL Pacino) uses when he runs Cheritto (Tom Sizemore) during the big street fight after the botched bank robbery.
Remember this line? (Go straight to 00:38 if you prefer.)
Here ya go. Filmed over 20 years ago and there isn't a better one yet.
Let us know what you think.
